CHARDONNAY and bubbly are what come to mind for many when contemplating the cellars of the Robertson Wine Valley. But they also offer good reds, and sweet pleasures too. See below for the top wineries in the area and what they're best at. For the names of exactly which wines from the area have the best track records, see the Classification. The producers with best track records overall? Bon Courage, De Wetshof and Graham Beck. And for all of the Top 100 in the SA Cellar Classification, click here.
Something new, unusual? Weltevrede has more than a few places to explore. Lunch? Perhaps Café Maude, or Christina's.

Re- Robertson checklist: “How on earth can Springfield be omitted from this entire overview??”
It’s regrettable that Springfield’s proprietors apparently do their utmost to avoid having their wines assessed by any panel of experts. Lacking the courage of their convictions, you could say.
Colombard. Andre’s Fame from Bon Courage. Stunner!
