Not that you need another reason to visit this ‘first growth’

Open Mon-Sat. Closed on Sundays.

JUST R100 to taste SEVEN current releases at one of THE leading wine estates in South Africa. In fact, there's no charge to sample these wines if you're buying a bottle to take home, with a second-label red going for just R135pb, the 2023 rosé less than R100. The top wines from this cellar sell for over R500pb, with the most exclusive a Pinotage from really old vines that will set you back over R2000 for a bottle, R180 for a taste.

And the newest attraction at this farm “where the big guns roar” is an outside deck which you might prefer to the more formal, recently refurbished tasting room to experience some of the best of Top Wine SA. We're talking Kanonkop, a ‘first growth' among the foothills of the Simonsberg in Stellenbosch, with everything in the Estate range easily qualifying for the SA Wine Classification – the Black Label and the ‘standard' Pinotage, the Cabernet Sauvignon as well as the Paul Sauer blend of Cab, Merlot and Cab Franc all ranking among the Top 10 in their respective categories.
