The venue for the 2026 Ivory Manor Gourmet Festival convened by sommelier Germain Lehodey on Saturday 12 September is the 5 Star, 25-room boutique hotel at 280 Jochem Street in Pretoria. Peaceful surroundings, a mini-forest and new pool area offer a tranquil space to relax, unwind and more.
Expect top-end food including shellfish, line fish, truffles and imported charcuterie including Spanish ham. The works of seven artists in the gallery. Plus wines from some of the country’s top farms, including Alvi's Drift, Audacia, Avontuur, Deetlefs, Gabriëlskoof, Holden Manz, Iona, Journey' End, La Petite Ferme, Le Riche, Lothian, Morgenster, Mont Rochelle, The Agronomist, Vergelegen, Zevenwacht and some of the beauties from the hotel’s cellar – such as the 1993 Meerlust Merlot and 1990 Meerlust Dry Red that are among some 400 offerings on the winelist that goes back to the 1971 vintage of Alto Cabernet Sauvignon.
Ivory Manor is owned by the Reynolds family, who in September 2026 will celebrate the 10th anniversary since they turned their home into a boutique hotel. Sommelier Germain Lehodey, recipient of the Eat Out Lifetime Achievement Award in 2023, has been Ivory Manor’s wine consultant since 2021 and the hotel’s 2026 wine show will be the fifth steered by Lehodey since the first in 2022.
