At the heart of Perdeberg’s winemaking philosophy lies a profound respect for resilience, and nowhere is that spirit more beautifully captured than in the Endura range. These wines pay tribute to the enduring journey of dry-farmed vines, which thrive against the odds to deliver fruit of remarkable concentration and flavour. With every sip, you taste not only craftsmanship but the quiet strength of vines that refuse to yield.
Endura Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc
Grace and grit in a glass… Perched high on the slopes of the Paardeberg Mountain, the vines that give life to the Endura Single Vineyard Chenin Blanc have weathered years of sun, wind, and stone. Their roots dig deep into decomposed granite soils, drawing out a minerality that defines the wine’s elegant structure.
The 2023 vintage was shaped by a cool growing season and perfectly timed rains, conditions that nurtured smaller, flavour-rich berries bursting with life. Winemaker Albertus Louw and his team hand-harvested the grapes at dawn, ensuring each bunch reached the cellar at peak freshness. Naturally fermented (wild yeast) in ceramic amphora, Diamanté wine tanks, and French oak barrels, the wine was aged on its lees for eight months to build texture and depth.
The result? A luminous green-gold wine with captivating aromas of ripe stone fruit, citrus, and lemon zest. On the palate, it’s rich yet vibrant. A beautiful balance of freshness, minerality, and silky weight. Perfect alongside grilled fish, roasted poultry, or even a fragrant curry, this Chenin Blanc transforms any meal into a celebration.
It’s no wonder this vintage has been honoured with Gold at the Global Chenin Blanc Masters and a Double Gold at the Michelangelo Awards. Accolades that affirm what your palate will already know: this is Chenin at its finest.
Endura Winemaker’s Selection Cape Blend
Bold, balanced and beautifully South African… Crafted from the best terroirs of the Paarl district, the Endura Winemaker’s Selection Cape Blend is a story of harmony and strength. A bold blend of Pinotage (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (33%) and Malbec (17%), it captures the heart of South African winemaking – expressive, generous and unafraid to stand tall.
Fermented in small stainless-steel tanks and aged for 18 months in French oak, the 2022 vintage is rich with aromas of dark berries, red fruit, cocoa, and dried tobacco. The palate reveals plush blueberry and cherry flavours, lifted by hints of vanilla and soft tannins that linger beautifully. Its structure and balance make it the ideal companion for Cape Malay curries, grilled meats, or wild game.
Recognised with Gold at the Decanter World Wine Awards (95 points), Gold at Michelangelo, and one of the Absa Top 10 Cape Blends, this is a wine that embodies both power and poise. And with an ageing potential of up to eight years, every bottle invites you to taste the evolution of excellence over time.
